Jade Pendant - Rat

Most people have a strong emotional reaction to rats one way or another - love or hate - beloved pet or dangerous pest. This peaceful rat isn't bothered either way.  It is 20mm tall x 15mm wide, carved from BC Jade, and attached to a stainless steel chain.

In the Chinese zodiac, the Year of the Rat is the first year of the 12 year cycle, because of the Rat's cleverness.  Rats were seen as a sign of wealth, surplus, and fertility.  People born in the Rat year are likable, optimistic, and energetic.
